No, you do not need a specific surf level to book a session.
Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced surfer, we can create beautiful images adapted to your level and the type of experience you are looking for.
You can choose between land, water, drone or lifestyle sessions depending on what feels best for you. Aqua and drone sessions are usually recommended for intermediate or advanced surfers.
✨ WHAT’S THE BEST TIME FOR A SURF SESSION?
The best timing for a surf session depends mainly on the tides and the surf conditions.
Some beaches work better at low tide while others are better at mid or high tide, so we always organize the session according to the best conditions for the specific spot you want to surf.
Sunrise and sunset usually offer the most beautiful light for lifestyle photos outside the water.
✨ WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER OR SURF CONDITIONS ARE BAD?
Surf conditions are hard to predict far in advance, so the best approach is to pre-book your session for the dates you’ll be in Biarritz. As the days approach, we will check conditions together and choose the best day.
If conditions don’t allow us to do the shoot, we will reschedule accordingly, ensuring you get the perfect surf photo session.
✨ CAN WE ALSO TAKE PHOTOS OUTSIDE THE WATER?
Yes, you can combine your sessions as you wish!
For example, you can choose combinations like surf + lifestyle, surf + video, or aqua + lifestyle. If you would like some pictures before or after the surf session, outside the water, the best option for you is a lifestyle + photo or video shooting.
But if you’re looking for a more aesthetic, planned, and personalized photo session, not necessarily tied to surfing, then a lifestyle surf photo shooting might be perfect for you.
✨ WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR THE SESSION?
You can wear whatever makes you feel the most comfortable and confident.
Sessions can be done in a wetsuit, bikini, swimsuit or surf outfit depending on your style and the vibe you are looking for.
If you book a lifestyle photo session, I can also guide you with outfit recommendations and help you choose colors and looks that work best for your photos.

Yes, of course 🙂 We always meet before the session and I keep an eye on you the entire time while you are surfing. With professional telephoto equipment, I am able to follow your movements easily in the water.
✨ WE ARE A GROUP OF FRIENDS — CAN WE BOOK TOGETHER?
Of course! Groups of friends, couples and families are always welcome.
Just let me know how many people will participate in the session so I can recommend the best package and organize the experience accordingly.
For larger groups, I create personalized pricing depending on the number of surfers and the type of session you are looking for.
✨ WHICH BEACHES DO YOU RECOMMEND?
The Basque Coast offers amazing surf spots for every level and style of surfing.
Some of my favorite locations include:
- Biarritz – Côte des Basques: Beach break that works only at low tide. Perfect for beginners, but suitable for all levels depending on the conditions. Great for longboarding and beautiful sunset sessions.
- Biarritz – Grande Plage: A good option if you already have a bit of surf experience, although conditions can sometimes suit all levels. Works best around mid tide.
- Anglet: Wide variety of beach breaks for intermediate to advanced surfers, but also great for beginners in smaller conditions. Usually works best at low to mid tide.
- Bidart: Beautiful natural beach breaks suitable for all levels depending on the conditions. Generally works best at low to mid tide.
- Guéthary – Parlementia: Iconic point break wave, perfect for longboard and intermediate to advanced surfers.
- Cenitz: Beautiful reef break with incredible scenery. Best for intermediate to advanced surfers and usually works at mid to high tide.
- Hendaye: One of the most beginner-friendly beaches in the region, ideal for learning and mellow surf sessions. Usually works best at mid tide.
- Saint-Jean-de-Luz – Lafitenia: Famous point break for intermediate to advanced surfers. Works best around mid tide.

Your photographs are delivered in high resolution through a private download link sent by email after the session.
Delivery times depend on the package selected and the season, but I always do my best to deliver your memories as quickly as possible.

Simply contact me with your travel dates or the period you will be staying on the Basque Coast so we can organize your session together.
Spots are limited during the summer season, so booking in advance is always recommended. Last-minute bookings are also possible depending on availability.
